Does anything in this earth, ever perish?
And disappear into nothingness and void?
A leaf, a life, a flower, a song, a rainbow!
A tree, a leaf, or a flower, when it withers
The good earth receives it with pleasure.
It dissolves with the [...]

…inspiration
dappled sunlight ever
changing
spread across soft grass
trees ancient and towering
meandering stream
playful fountain
stealing naked into
forbidden pools
shadows deep and cool over
wandering paths with unknown
ends
bird song small creatures scurry
unseen and barely
heard
along the path a ruined tower
stones crumbled and choked
green with moss and ivy
silence filled with nature

desolation
silence
loud and pounding
my heart
in this empty place
booming echo of footsteps
taken alone
leaves brittle and blowing
breeze morns through broken lattice
fountain stirs no more
vastness of the sanctuary once filled
with laughter and tears
passion and pain
now
stands vacant in ruins
void of feeling
sun brings only pale light
no warmth to this place
of desolation

touch you
agonizing and twisted
fate playing
staying
holding my hand
back
desperately seeking the place that
leaves you so unmoved
while i stand in the depths of
silence
heart racing
waiting for you to
see right through me
how much longer farther will
i go
it go
before there is no turning back
caged in an empty field
have i found the place where
to step forward is to fall
to step back is to [...]

went away
caught up in passion and pain
emptiness aches and destinations
unknown
bottomless void that holds nothing
and wraps itself around everything
a smile that hides behind an illusion
but really hasn’t it always been
masked by this great
divide
temporary addiction moving
from one thing to the next
filled by her only to be broken
filled by another only to be a token
of what might have been
on yet [...]

The Sweetest Guy
The only day we spent away
a couple of months went day by day.
With each day our love grew,
and we both knew our love was true.
And when we met a deal was made,
each other’s hearts we’d both trade.
Now I’ve got yours and you’ve got mine,
so please take good care of it, for it’s fragile & kind.
Then [...]

Please Look A Little Deeper
Please don’t judge me by my face,
my religion or my race.
Please don’t laugh at what i wear,
or how I look or do my hair.
Please look a little deeper
way down inside,
and although you may not see it,
I have a lot to hide.
Behind my clothes, secrets lie
behind my smile, I softly cry.
Please look a little deeper
and maybe [...]

My Bonny True (A Scottish Stanza)
I walked the roads, both low and high,
In search of where my bonny lie,
And when I found her, I did cry,
My bonny love,
I know her spirit’s in the sky,
Far up above.
She’s freed from all her earthly woe,
As in the ground she’s laid below,
Where fields of purple heather grow,
My bonny dear,
I hear her voice, as breezes [...]

Lingering memories
Lingering Memories
In my youth, before my teens
My fondest dream was
Leave Home
To sail the briny sea.
I pictured landing on foreign shores
Meeting new people
Who spoke a language?
Unlike ours.
Explore their land
See new things
Eat their food
And hear them sing.
Coming of age I got my wish
But not in the manor I dreamt
Our nation was pulled
Into a war not meant.
The [...]

Pouring out your heart
Pouring Out Your Heart
Saying what is really in your heart
Indeed, a very difficult task.
All kinds of things pass through your mind
And asked to explain
Would be rather hard to impart.
How do you tell someone?
How much you love them
Without becoming emotional
Tripping over every word uttered sincerely
From the heart.
There are so many different kinds of [...]
