Marriage

A day set apart by two special people

Emotions are bound to arise

Pensive, magical, mysterious.

Exciting, intriguing, joyful

Wondering if their choice is wise.

Because marriage is a sacred bond.

It takes two people

Who cared enough about each other

To enter into a sacred covenant that has no equal.

Because two individuals are now one.

Sharing every joy, happiness, sickness, sadness under the sun.

Learning many things about the other.

Things singles are not privy to know.

It is these likenesses and differences

That will tightly cement the bond enabling them to grow.

Learning new different kinds of love

Caring and sharing, laughing and weeping.

But the most important thing to learn

Is kindness and respect for each others keeping.

Harsh words, silly bickering, disrespect

Should be avoided and never cause weeping.

Tenderness and love is the secret to

A long and happy marriage.

Love soothes all wounds.

a couple of months went day by day.

With each day our love grew,

and we both knew our love was true.

And when we met a deal was made,

each other’s hearts we’d both trade.

Now I’ve got yours and you’ve got mine,

so please take good care of it, for it’s fragile & kind.

Then I’d find myself thinking of you.

with every single thing I do.

I’ve cared for you right from the start,

and it really hurts me when we’re apart.

Sometimes I think,

maybe you were my missing link

or an angle who fell from up above,

sent here for me to love.

I thank the stars in the sky

that to this day you are the Sweetest Guy.

Dawn she calls, the morn has come.

Diamond dew that fell at night,

fills the vale, it sparkles bright.

Between the hills a misty cover.

Embracing meadows like a lover.

These are the visions that appear

Whilst I think of you my dear.

My heart feels bright it wants to shine.
