As I set sail on the boat of dreams,
and ride upon the waves of confusion,
I hope to prove that with conflict
there is always a solution.
A tsunami of anger sweeps the sea
and tears at the sky of peace.
And shatters the dream boat and
slashes the wind,
And shows know mercy at the least.
Splashing as fright fills me within,
I make my way to shore.
I’m sad to say that my dream boat
may never sail no more.
Then gladness fills my inner mind
and I’m happy to be alive.
Although my many dreams are crushed
I’m lucky to have survived.
So hope within brightened my day
and gave me a brand new smile.
Soon I’ll build another dream boat
and happily sail awhile.

About Heart 4 poetry
I love writing. It has been my passion for years. I started writing when I was only eight. I had my first poem published at ten through a poetry contest. Poetry is a major part of my life. I can write my life down in a simple page of poetry. I have not yet been recognized for my writing talent, but I hope to publish many poems and books in the near future.( I am now fifteen and still writing)Subscribe
