Hideaway

Hideaway

My contemplation Garden

Yes, there is a place I like to go

Whenever feeling sad or blue

The serenity that takes place

Like the motherโ€™s arms I knew.

Thereโ€™s no

Rain, sleet or snow

No crying, sadness or woe

In this world to which I go.

The sun shines bright

Skies always azure blue

Never any rain

To send my day askew.

The peace I seek

Is always there

Never fails

To ease my despair.

An hour or two is all I need

To restore my resolve,

Reminding me who I am

And how I did evolve.

Listening to my inner voice

Strongly directing me,

Following the rightful course

Will alone set me free.

Returning to the real world,

Tested and fresh

Able to cope with adversity

Putting my woes at rest.

Wow, Tom. This is beautiful. I know I have always had my spaces like this and I know how important they are for anyone. Thanks for the poem. It’s great.

Anna, everyone needs to escape to his or her quiet place now and then.
