Life is…? Love is…?

There is no god they say,
no essence up above.
Just chemical reactions,
the way to define love.

There is no soul within you,
electronics in your brain.
When you die its over
you’ll just be dust again.

This is a favorite theory
from a master race.
76 cents of chemicals,
the worth on you they place.

It is a handy story,
they do explain it well.
You’re just a bunch of chemicals,
you’ll never burn in hell.

You’ll never go to heaven,
there is no just reward.
Dare disagree and fail the class,
we have the final word.

I have different view,
in god, in man, in love.
I do believe in miracles
and creations from above.

It’s not that I’m an expert,
but if there’s choices be?
I’d rather to be free to think
and speak of that I see.

I do not want to certify
what is the proper mold.
But people should be free to think
not think as they are told.

But what of truth and honesty
A chemical reaction?
Do believe as you believe,
but t’me its the soul in action.

i am a firm believer in freedom of decision… i don’t know what if anything may lie beyond this life,, and i cannot live my life,, solely to obtain that which i will never know exists…..

    Why thank You kunjubi,

I really have to give some credit to paisley though, one of her latest poem provided me with inspiration. Were it not for her I would have never hit on this. I think her poem is fantastic.
