Lost At Sea

Lost At Sea

Since losing my pilot

To a far off shore

I’™m like a sailing ship at sea,

Depending on the wind

To carry me

To distant lands

And unexplored shores.

If the winds do not prevail

There is nothing

To fill my sail

The oceans tides

Will guide my ride

Without my pilot

Beside my side.

Not an optional way,

You will agree,

To be tossed about

By an angry sea.

I’™m at the mercy of the tide.

This will be a bumpy ride.

Sending me anywhere it wills.

God will be my guiding light

To release my from

This unusual plight

Leading me to my pilot’s site.

Thank you. I am so pleased that I found a poetry site where folks can post and have such nice persons as yourself read and comment.
