My Little Teacher

Precious beauty,
borrowed joy.
Present moments,
I enjoy.

Every time,
your eyes gleam.
Sparkling pools,
pour out streams.

Currents of love,
moments so real.
Taintless tides of,
this color wheel.

Emotions flow,
like oceans.

Your face just glows,
with a joy,
I once had.

You’ve brought it back.
Pulled it forth from,
the inside.
Breathed in it a new life.

Always grateful,
I will be.
To my child,
who helped me.

Never will I,
quench your soul.
Let you always,
thrive and grow.

Secure with me,
you’ll always be.
My little teacher,
contagiously happy.

(For my 4-year-old son Josh.)

Yes you are getting better and better. Well, email me sometime if you like and we can distract each other! I am rarely logged into the Skype you have because I was getting too many interruptions … but maybe I can give you the “secret code.”

Thanks Anna! I love to hear when you’re reading and get chills – then I know it is truly good. You are so funny – I really miss talking to you anna. You got me into poetry and expressing my feelings through it. Thank you thank you thank you!
