Silence – Close the Door

When She came
Where lies the grave
Where lonely Shelley slept-
poetry just bowed her head-
paused an hour-
and wept

gather up the golden dreams-
play the songs to me-
walk forever down the road-
silence- close- the – door!

sun and wind and summer rain-
leaves that can’t forget-
by the grave where Shelley sleeps-
She paused- an hour-
and – wept
