L ingering in the corner,
of this desolate night.
Mindful of the darkness,
as my eyes lose their sight.
Clouds cover and storm is near.
Passion is high as my heart fears.
Anticipating.
In my mind debating.
Wondering if it may be,
if in me he will see,
what words cannot declare.
Pacing and tracing the lines
to his heart.
In his eyes I will fall,
let go [...]

All evil are down to earth
To judge all the loveless
To give no mercy for breathing
No mercy for breathing free in their existence
I remember the story of crucifixion
Was the Christ a lover?
Or maybe His existence was the cancer for flesh?
And His way to love was the pain for life?
All bloody happy mortal are just the shit [...]

each setting eve behind the sun
ripe passion fruit glimmers
before moon rise with it’s tender rays
the honey coated deep red gift
glows with luminosity from within it’s very core
lovers fruit, hot swollen in the night’s furnace
heat ready dripping with lush expectations
many have caressed it’s silken flesh
seeking a granted wish for those who dare
to bind their souls bodies [...]

She pulled herself out of the water, nails digging into the soggy riverbank, choking on weeds and coughing up the muck from the riverbed. She lay still for a while, long wet tendrils of her dark hair straggling across her face, her fingers embedded into the moss and leaves beneath her. Her jeans, heavy with [...]

The Lufthansa flight from Newyork landed in Chennai at 2:15 AM, thirty minutes later than the scheduled arrival time. Mohanasundaram was waiting at the arrival terminal with increasing anticipation. He scanned the hundred faces coming out of the airport for his son. After about forty-five minutes, Arun kumar walked out, waving his hands [...]

That proclivity exists in everything, animate or
Inanimate, similar to proton-neutron relation.
That is human bondage, nature’s bondage

I pray
Every night before going to bed.
Before and after
Every meal.
No man
Has seen my face
Since the day I turned 13
Except my husband.
My daughters
Are good
I teach them well
But take no praise
Upon myself.
The Holy Book
I know by heart
Recite it in my sleep.
Cut my flesh
To show my pledge
Devotion eternal
I said.
But….
Last night
They came and took my child
Flesh [...]

When time works against us
and weighs at the heart
somewhere in a foreign land,
night turns to day, and
the fashion in shop windows
I pass on my way from work
into djellabas, the smell
of restaurants into kuskus
on a market day,
hands all out, stretched
to acknowledge this gift,
walking in the shadow
of African women, men,
with their fear of anchored boats
on coastal fronts. [...]
