I weave for you, again,
No “sillysong”….
Of sunsets in the WEST-
Or……drifting sky……
Or TWILIGHT HOURS, from forgotten days-
or how the PRAIRIE wind…..goes singing by!
I will not pause an hour again to build
A castle….in the far dim land of DREAM-
Or how the wind flows ever whispering by-
Or bright with GOLDEN LEAVES
THE OLD TREES LEAN!
I think there is an [...]

If you have a heart for dreaming-
That somehow seems to care!
Then follow me down the pathway-
In the summer twilight there-
If you have a heart for dreaming-
Wherever the Fairies play-
Then follow me into the shadow
Of this old house today!
Of all the beautiful pictures
That hand on memories wall-
The one of the autumn twilight
Seems to be best of [...]

The SNOW came down, an, STARTED TO BLOW-
It was bad as a blizzard could be!
But the SALE was on, and he HAD TO GO-
HE WAS “Lewis of the Double E”!
The heifers were all square and fat-
But only the show was free-
For they sold em all to the “Stetson Hat”-
[...]

I give a damn-
Said the wizoned old man-
And he feels damn good today-
For he says “THEY ARE KILLING
THEMSELVES OFF NOW”-
As the MOMBERS ROLLED AWAY!
They SURE LIKE ME!
Said the wizened old man-
And he took a little snooze-
Then he drank some wine-
For he felt just fine-
And he drank some damn good BOOZE.
Then the smoke goes higher-
An they [...]

The sad day came, they buried GEORGE;
Only sixty-four years old-
And was so rich, they lowered him down,
In a coffin made of gold!
A hundred morners came to eat;
Yaaa..A hundred MOURNERS came to eat;
But none of them was me;
And therre were three Ministers….
Just like the “Fiddlers Three”.
Thirty-five cars went rolling by-
And even the dogs behave-
Because they knew [...]

There are no Castles in this World-
Like once we built in Spain!
And NEVER AGAIN, the soft wind blows,
Adown the shady lane!
AN ANGEL helped me write these lines-
SHE IS ALWAYS HERE WITH ME!
I AM SENDING HER TO YOU TODAY-
In a DREAMERS poetry!
I tell Her “FLY AWAY OUT WEST”-
Across the Prairies Wide!
And HELP a HEART to find [...]

God gave me a song to sing-
In a dark and barren land-
God gave me a song, and put
A fiddle in my hand!
God knew that the road was long-
And paved with misery-
And so He sent and Angel down-
To walk along with me!
And now I never feel alone-
In this lonely Land-
And over the hills she walks with [...]

Present Day
It was the first Monday in weeks when I was not in office before ten. As I saw the frosted sundial of my old citizen ticking eleven thirty, I cursed myself for the umpteenth time for choosing that insurance company. I found out that the other companies did not require so many tests after [...]

SANTA’S HAT
By: Cynthia DiSciullo and William Zigmont
Sunshine leaned back into her comfy overstuffed chair,
Felt the amber glow and warmth of the fireplace there
The magic of a youthful mind is so very scrumptious and delicious
A charming place things are really-real even if they are fictitious
Rambleton Acres felt a jolt of winter’s mighty breath [...]

Walking by a candy shop,
The sight of gumdrops made me stop,
And with a penny in my hand,
I entered into Candyland.
The smell of chocolate was distinct,
And then a sight caused me to blink,
As if in answer to my prayers,
I saw a million chocolate bears.
Some were dark and some were light,
And some were very, very white,
Some were [...]
