Autumn
Autumn has arrived.
Trees decked out in Joseph’s coat
Reds, yellows, orange, rust, green
And every hue in between.
Leaves dancing and fluttering in the wind
Drop to earth
In a dizzy spin.
This wonderful display
Is short lived.
Winters winds will soon move in,
Earth takes on [...]
spinning out of the pool
of chaos
forcibly reordering life
back to the normal
the sedentary
the easy
still there is
the writing in the wall
caged passion
fire and ice
where is that woman
locked her up
threw away the key
again
cause chaos leaves scars
and those in it’s wake
will never be the same
so why
do i miss it so

holding my hand
back
desperately seeking the place that
leaves you so unmoved
while i stand in the depths of
silence
heart racing
waiting for you to
see right through me
how much longer farther will
i go
it go
before there is no turning back
caged in an empty field
have i found the place where
to step forward is to fall
