Lord Jesus Christ,
I pray unto thee
that you open my eyes
so that I may see
the righteous path
thou has set for me.
Heal my heart
and mend my soul.
Help me to play
my servant role.
Lord Jesus Christ,
let me feel
thy precious, holy spirit
from head to heel.
Lead me through the paths
of which I may go.
Please, Lord, you lead the way
so that I [...]

(1)Young Tom visited his great aunt, until he was ten years old,
And soon after his next birthday, her old mansion would be sold,
Since she died, and he would miss them both, as nine years changed the date.
He completed school, did two years work, and started college late.
(2)At the end of his first Uni year, he [...]

I went walking the Hills, and then climbing the rocks,
And carelessly stepped on the Moss;
Who delivered a lot of unbalancing shocks,
While trying too much, to be boss.
Though I usually found my feet able to grip,
At this time, I started to skid.
So I panicced, and had to inevitably slip,
To land on my skin, God forbid.
As I [...]

Well I’ve never bought a garage, but my searching never fails
To provide me with some novelties, at all those garage sales;
And I don’t think I’d be interested to own a pachyderm;
But White Elephant retailing’s how to end a school’s third term.
I’ve a china cabinet (from a second hand store) filled with wares:
China animals in jungle [...]

(1)My first Blue Mountains journeys were on Sydney’s country trains,
With scenery improving, once I’d gone past Emu Plains.
I did not know the passengers around me, but perhaps one
Might care to play a card game, since we’d only come to Lapstone
(2)I closed my vintage fiction novel fast. So I could then look,
To see surrounding bushland, as [...]

I was well prepared to build my house on firm foundation rock.
I had gathered each material and every building block.
I’d seen many things, that life could be whilst imitating art.
I could cull the very best of these in each component part.
I’d explored all possibilities, and worked out all the rules,
As I stood beside the ocean, [...]

Watching through her
own little window.
She’s unseen and unheard.
Her world is a pool of
thoughts and ideas
but no one wants to
hear them.
She has visions that
could change the world.
But she’s too afraid to
speak out. She knows they
will not listen or care.
So she keeps her dreams
of a better world locked
in her heart.
And every now and then
she peers through
her distant [...]

Sail On
“Fair winds and calm seas”
A sailor’s lament
A bon voyage to shipmates
Who went
To a place of peace
And heavenly content.
All earthly chores
Fulfilled and complete
Now able to rest
In peaceful sleep.

Fantasize
Let your thoughts go wild
Bring back your memories,
Your thoughts as a child.
Ride the range on a bucking bronc’
Drive a race car at Daytona Park.
Climb snow covered mount Kilimanjaro.
Fly high aloft in a gas filled balloon
Going higher and higher almost touching the moon.
Sail the seas in a four mast schooner
Circling the earth, catching large tuna.
Ride a [...]
