The excitement mounts as the megadrive loads,
“That’s him! I can see him! Right there!”
Now all the people are screaming and shouting
At the guy with long blue hair.

So, who is this babe?
This iconic beauty?
He’s a video-game prince,
Sonic Hedgehog by name.

He leads a heavenly life,
Desired and lusted by millions,
You would have guessed it,
Since he is perfection.

Is it Sonic’s fault he makes humans look like pigs?
Or his fault he’s sexy and hot?
So love and respect him for who he is,
Don’t bash him for the things he’s got!

Is it Sonic’s fault his pixel consistency keeps him forever alive?
Or his fault in a couple of years all your organs will die?
His beauty will never fade when you’ll be old and ugly,
3D models never degrade, such is the big mistery.

If you see him at Station Square,
hold him a crown, buy him jewels,
Let’s not be afraid of the words,
He is a king, it’ll suit him well.

Saving the world, running so fast,
Defeating Eggman too,
starring in games, causing orgasm,
Is there something Sonic can’t do?

He is this gem that blessed earth,
Beautiful, perfect, divine,
Somewhat flawless even from birth,
As prototype from Sega line.

Sonic’s legend started in the past,
god’s beauty poured into a dreamcast,
could his charm be so wild and pure,
as the day you saw him in Sonic adventure?

His emerald eyes shine so bright,
He dazzles you, don’t deny it,
And his smile lights up the night,
try to survive the fainting fit.

Always looking wonderful,
He’s the prettiest thing you’ll ever see,
Just look into his eyes, there’s nothing more beautiful.
and he’s the greatest character there will ever be.

Plus, there’s so much more to him than being an idol,
He’s grand, strong and smart,
Just admire all of him as a whole,
His allure is a true work of art.

I proposed him,
even two times,
then he said yes,
now he is mine.

This is something you can’t withstand,
evidently, I understand,
You are gnawed by jealousy,
Just because he is my husband.

Oh Sonic, I love you with all of my heart!
I adore and worship you!
I’m proud to be your humble, devoted wife,
And I’ll always be loyal and true.

One Saturday evening, down the window I was seeing,
Up came her call, down the bed was I about to fall.
My heart started ringing like a bell;
Picked up the phone and amused of what to tell.
Down came her offer, and she didn’t have a chauffer,
She wants to go out with me,
Clogging my mind were thoughts of it being a mystery or reality;

Ecstatic I started jumping and screaming,
Happiness in my life suddenly, I was dreaming,
A romantic melody, I started singing.
Down I came to earth, as the phone again started ringing.
The rain started pouring very hard,
“Doubt whether we can go out”, she said, which made me sad,
Savaging my dreams was the rain.
Tears started rolling out, as I couldn’t take the pain.

Suddenly thy rained mercy,
Desperate to go out, I prayed he could see.
Picked up my phone and gave her a call,
Now can we go out my Miss Tall?
Down I saw my cutest friend’s missed call,
Rushed up, I gave her a call.
Got the news, both were so elated,
Stepping on my door was happiness, even so it was belated.
Tensed and lying I got out of my house,
Desperate to go out with her, and wanted to make her my spouse.
Waiting for her at the bus stand,
So elated I was, didn’t see the fate coming in my hand.
There I saw her coming,
Cool and relaxed I was trying and pretending.
Down she came from her ride,
I kept looking at her eyes, standing on the road side.

She came towards me, crossing the road,
Croaking was my heart, lyk a frog on toad.
We were sitting opposite to each other,
Gazing at her eyes, which looked crystal as a mirror.
We started having a chat,
Reminded me of a day where she was wearing a pink cool hat.
Praising thee, so beautiful she was looking.
A blessed man I am was the only thing that I was thinking.
Time went on, around came our destination,
Just sit and watch her eyes, was my only inclination.
Came down from the cab and paid the fare,
The cabbie said I know you love her and take care.
Inside the shop we went,
Buying a watch was her intent.
She liked a cool and sexy clock,
Paid for it, out from the shop we were about to walk.

About to go for the dinner, I put hands inside my pocket,
Scared and embarrassed I didn’t find my wallet.
Didn’t know what should I tell,
Swinging my head and I was about to fell.
Told her about this unfortunate incident,
She advised me that I should have been prudent.
This was the only thing that had to happen,
All my planned dreams were shaken.
Nothing to help me and I was completely broken,
I couldn’t give her the gift which had been stolen.

Distorted and dejected, wanted to drop her back home.
I knew that my fortunes were walking on soapy foam.
Took a cab and dropped her at the bus stand,
Drenched and lonely in the rain I had to stand.
As she got on to her ride, the distance seemed wide
Got a last glance her eyes and I knew the upcoming demise.
On her ride she went away, putting me all to sway.
In that heavy rain I was crying,
Nothing I could achieve even if so hard I was trying.

this world alone.

I work part-time as a funeral attendant. Hopefully that explains the motive for this writing. Just trying to put a little humour into a serious subject.

Well, here I am.
I never expected it to happen this soon,
but I passed away last weekend.

Stupid horse,
I told them I didn’t like horses,
too much power for an animal that gets spooked so easily.
But I blame it on the rattlesnake,
I hate them too,
so did the horse.

Stupid snake spooked the horse and it threw me.
The doctor says I died when I struck my head on a rock,
busted my head wide open, he says.
Well, maybe I did,
how would I know,
I’m dead.

What really gets my goat,
is lying in this box at what is supposed to be my funeral,
the celebration of my life,
with people remembering the ‘fine fellow’ I was.

Who are these people anyway?!
Someone must have got the eulogy mixed up with the funeral next door.
I hear someone talking,
but I don’t recognize his voice.

Who on earth is he talking about?
Is that supposed to be me?
“gentle spirit”
“giving and kind”,
“always caring for his fellow man”.

Horse-pucky!!
He doesn’t know me very well, does he?
Get someone up here who knows the real me.
Tell them what I was really like,
“lazy slob with no sex appeal”,
“cheap penny-pincher”,
“lousy dresser”.

Oh, well,
Let them have their day.
If they think better of me when I’m dead then when I was alive,
who’s it going to hurt?
Just so long as you know it ain’t so,
I guess that’s all that counts.

Hey, if you happen to be driving by the cemetery,
why not drop in for a visit,
and bring flowers.
I like orchids.

And keep yourself for me,
To take you near my soul
To make you the rhythm
of my heart.

All your lonely dreams
Were about me.
We longed for our
Dreams to blossom.
To make you the life
of my life
There is an immense
Desire in my soul….

Worry will take over sometimes. We read blogs in the dark, not knowing the whole story, only seeing what the writer wants us to see. We get concerned. A reader might say this to her favorite author:

Are you doing fine? Could you tell me why you write stories about dark places?

It is a challenge, he said. I really don’t know why I write what I write. I may write something that is sad, or sexy, or even disgusting. I guess the truth of the matter is I do it because it makes me happy.

She had called him to task. Was he sad she asked. Does he need help or company or even therapy? Should she come to his house and make chicken soup. Was he getting enough sleep or enough of anything really?

No, he answered. I like where I am, what I eat, how I feel. I smile when I write. And, he added, you must admit, the fact that you read my writing is the very reason I write what and how I write. I smile because I know you will click on my blog.

Oh, well then! Never mind…I was just wondering!

To publish your poem or story on our blog, please take the following steps:

Register for a free account.

Fill in your profile when you register. If you have already registered you may fill in your profile here. Your profile can contain up to three links (html formatting of links is okay) to related websites or blogs. Personal blogs are okay. Sites in the fields of poetry, writing, or the arts, are okay. But please don’t link to something totally disrelated such as a site that sells fertilizer. In some cases, a link to your personal business website would be okay – if you have any questions about a link you want to add, please contact me.

To have an image displayed beside your profile, please go to http://en.gravatar.com/site/login to register for an account. Set up your Gravatar per the instructions, and make sure that the email address you are registered on at this blog is the same email address which you have assigned a Gravatar to.

Note: Your profile image, name, and author bio will appear at the bottom of each of your posts. It will also appear on the Authors Page.

Post your writing. One poem or story per post please, but you may post as many posts as you like.

IMPORTANT: Please do not copy directly from a program such as Microsoft Word. This will add strange code to your post or poem which will make it unreadable or even invisible for many viewers. Instead, copy your writing first into a plain text editor such as Notepad, and then copy it over to the blog. If you like, you can also use a free software such as Windows Live Writer, to make formatting and publishing easier.

Check the appropriate categories, for your own name if you desire, and the type of poem or story you are writing.

Add the appropriate tags (descriptive words) to your poem, in the “Tags” field.

Click “Publish.”

As soon as an administrator sees your post, it will be moderated. As long as it is not spam or objectionable, it will usually be published right then and there! (Usual rules: no hate, discrimination, pornographic writing, racism, bigotry, illegal activities, and radee radee radee).

You are welcome and encouraged to comment on other people’s posts!

Your poem might not appear on the blog immediately after you have posted it, particularly if this is your first time posting. If this is your first time posting and you would like your poem to appear as soon as possible, please contact me to inform me that you have submitted.

A few rules:

When you are ready to have your poem appear on the site, please hit “Publish.” Even if the poem does not yet appear, it will be there waiting for us to review and approve, for final publication.

By all means do check off the categories that your poem belongs under. If you know of a new category which should be added, please contact me.

I will not try to take your copyrights away or violate them in any way. I will not republish your poetry elsewhere, unless you have stated that your poems can be used for free, or otherwise given me your permission. I reserve the right to publish, not publish, or delete poems, at any time. I reserve the right to modify create, assign, or delete, names of categories and tags which are associated with the poems on this site. I reserve the right to modify this blog as I see fit, to add to it, to change its design, to link to other sites, or to do anything I like with the blog. I reserve the right to correct obvious spelling mistakes or clear errors in formatting (which sometimes occur as a result of your posting a poem directly from Microsoft Word) but otherwise will not make modifications to your poem. I can not be legally responsible for anything that goes wrong as a direct or indirect result of you having posted poetry on this site, although I will not personally take action to harm you or to violate your rights. By publishing your poetry on this site, you agree to the above.
