Walking With Eliana

Walking With Elianaย

I like to walk

with Eliana

Her steps are

short and slow like mine.

We never have to

Hurry up

We always

Take our time.

We look and examine everything

We find along the path.

We giggle

At the simplest things

And Eliana makes me laugh.

This little girl

So inquisitive

Has many questions

To ask,

Why is the sky and ocean blue?

Why do flowers all have a different hue?

Why do bunnies hop?

Why do roosters crow?

Why does it rain

And snow ?

I do not know all the answers

This little child asks

So

Iโ€™m put to the task

Finding the answers

For this bright little Lass.

Paisley, my love for Eliana and the love I have and show to all my great grandchildren is paid back many fold by the love and respect I get from them.
You are so kind with your comments. Thank you.

A nostalgia pervades.. you have a recollection of your childhood, when you walked clinging to your father’s fingers…Sentimental.. Thanks for such a reverie…. kunjbi
